CROMWELL, Conn. -- For years, people have said how difficult it is to get a business up and running in the state of Connecticut. Lauren Delisa of Cromwell wanted to get into the food business so she came up with a plan to open La Piastra, a Catering and Gourmet Takeout shop in Cromwell. Kenneth MacCormac, Chairman of the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce announced that the chamber held a grand-opening event for La Piastra Gourmet to Go & Catering on Wednesday, March 4, at its location on 25 Shunpike Road, Cromwell.
