Biscuit!
Laurence grew up in New Mexico but has lived in Connecticut long enough to consider it home. He works nearby, and visits La Piastra when he's craving homemade flavor. Since he didn't have a picture of himself readily available, he's sharing a photo of one of his Italian Greyhounds.

Invited to a Fourth of July picnic at the last minute, Laurence did a cursory look in his refrigerator, and came up with the following Curry Chicken Salad (see link above). It was a hit at the picnic, and who doesn't love an easy recipe?

This is a great recipe for those of you hosting the turkey dinner, but are not sure how to reinvent leftovers for company during the holiday weekend! 

This recipe is passed by two sisters, Chrissy and Andriana.  Both live out of state, but when they heard about Pass the Plate, they were happy to share this fan favorite recipe with everyone. 

The objective of this recipe is to make the dough look like a sun ~ you can get as creative as you want with the filling!

Kelly is a partner in a management consulting firm and she’s also a first time mom to a 3 month old, so, when Friday night rolls around, she needs something easy that will also please her picky eater husband, who never turns down pizza. This shrimp 'n shallot pizza goes great with a glass of white wine (which she keeps on hand while she’s cooking) and a mixed green salad that Kelly likes to serve tossed with her favorite maple and balsamic dressing (see recipe below). It’s the perfect ‘Friday night in the fall’ meal.

Maple Balsamic Dressing
2 tbs raw finely diced shallots
¼ cup maple syrup
¼ cup balsamic
1/3 cup olive oil
salt n pepper
